To facilitate the relocation, there is additional paperwork to complete. But fear not! We'll be with you every step of the way, providing clear instructions and support. Let's delve into the details and demystify the requirements together.
Upon embarking on your journey, you'll need to provide certain essential documents. These include a copy of your passport and NIE (Número de Identificación de Extranjero), as well as a comprehensive list of the goods you're shipping, complete with their respective values. Additionally, a disclaimer stating the absence of contraband goods, food, or drinks will be required. Once you accept our quote, we'll furnish you with all the necessary paperwork. This will include an inventory of your belongings and customs documentation, which simply require your signature. We'll handle the preparation and guide you through the process, ensuring compliance and efficiency. Moving from the UK to Spain:
Regarding customs duties in Spain, it's important to note that they may be applicable to both your goods and the associated transport costs. However, you can take advantage of an exemption if you can demonstrate that you've resided in the UK for at least 12 months prior to the move and provide evidence of your relocation to Spain. We will assist you in identifying the appropriate documents that serve as proof for this purpose.
Moving from Spain to the UK:
When moving from Spain to the UK, similar considerations arise concerning customs duties. These duties may be applicable to your goods and transportation expenses. However, there is an opportunity to bypass these charges by completing a TOR1 declaration. As your trusted removal company, we will provide you with the link to the UK Government website, where you can submit this declaration. It serves as confirmation that you are relocating your personal belongings for a permanent move, eliminating the need for customs duties.
