Since the UK left the EU, house removals have become a little more complicated between UK and Spain. It is not too much different from before, and very doable, so don't worry! There is more paperwork to complete, but we will guide you every step of the way. The documents you will initially need to provide are:
Moving from UK to Spain: Custom Duties in Spain may be payable on your goods, as well as on the transport costs. However, if you can prove you have lived in the UK for 12 months prior, and can prove you are moving to Spain, duties will not be payable. We will advise you of which documents can be used as proof. Moving from Spain to UK: Custom Duties in the UK may be payable on your goods, as well as on the transport costs. However, this can be avoided by completing a TOR1, which we will send you the link to on the UK Government website, basically declaring and proving you are moving personal belongings for a permanent move. Rest assured, we continue to request clarification about house removals between non-EU and EU countries and use custom agents to help with the process.
