Packing Service

When moving your most treasured possessions it is very important to use the correct packing materials. Using boxes that are too flimsy or thin will result in possible damages. Therefore, we only supply double-walled, thick boxes. This means that when they are loaded on to the van, they can be safely stacked on top of one another without the risk of collapsing.
We use webbed straps and blankets to protect your furniture in the van. This is usually enough protection, but if you require items to be more securely wrapped, this can be arranged – we have sofa covers, mattress protectors and export wrap.
We can also supply other packing materials in any quantity delivered to your door:
We offer a flexible service to suit your needs. We have a team of professional packers who can come and pack up your whole house, or just your fragile items. If you do your own packing, we are on hand to give advice.
Whether we do your packing, or you pack your own, everything will always be handled with extreme care and protected with blankets, straps etc in our vans, as you would expect from a professional removals company.

Tips for Packing
If you choose to do the packing yourself, here are some handy tips to keep in mind.
1. Start Early: Begin packing well in advance to avoid last-minute stress. Packing always takes longer than you think, so give yourself plenty of time.
2. Declutter: Take the opportunity to declutter your belongings before packing. Donate, sell, or discard items you no longer need or use. This will save you time and effort when packing and unpacking.
3. Create a Packing Plan: Develop a systematic plan for packing each room. Start with less frequently used areas and items, and save essential items for last. Label boxes according to their contents and the room they belong to. This will make unpacking much easier.
4. Gather Packing Supplies: Stock up on packing supplies such as cardboard boxes, bubble wrap, packing tape, markers, and packing paper. Having these supplies on hand will prevent delays and frustration during the packing process.
5. Pack Room by Room: Focus on one room at a time to maintain organization. Pack similar items together and label each box clearly. Consider creating an inventory list for each box or using a numbering system to keep track of your belongings.
6. Protect Fragile Items: Wrap fragile items individually in bubble wrap or packing paper. Place them in sturdy boxes and fill any gaps with cushioning material like packing peanuts or clothing. Clearly mark these boxes as fragile to ensure they are handled with care.
7. Pack Essentials Separately: Pack a separate box or bag with essential items you'll need immediately upon arrival at your new home. Include items like toiletries, a change of clothes, important documents, and basic kitchen supplies.
8. Take Pictures: Before disconnecting any electronic devices, take pictures of the connections to help you set them up easily at your new home. You can also take photos of the arrangement of furniture and decorations for reference when setting up your new space.
9. Use Suitcases and Bags: Utilize your suitcases and duffel bags to pack clothing, shoes, and other soft items. This saves space in boxes and makes them easier to transport.
10. Enlist Help: Moving can be overwhelming, so don't hesitate to ask friends or family for assistance. Their help can make the process faster and more enjoyable.
Remember, moving can be a stressful time, but with careful planning and organization, you can make the packing process smoother and more efficient. Good luck with your move!
